Resonanzzentrum Peter Roth – Speakerdom – 2025
Klangwelt, Toggenburg | Schweiz
At the Peter Roth Resonance Centre sound and space unfold into an interactive experience with views of the impressive natural surroundings of Toggenburg’s landscape. An open timber architecture and 34 loudspeakers create a 3D immersive sound experience in a unique atmosphere. This is Switzerland’s first public sound dome, inviting visitors on a sensual journey.
Idee und Klang was responsible for the design and installation of the sound dome, as well as for producing the sound installation that introduces visitors to the origins of the “world of sound”. Here, sound is not merely staged — it is placed at the heart of the space, allowing it to be experienced directly, physically, and holistically.
The Peter Roth Resonance Centre and the Klanghaus Toggenburg were officially opened on 23 May 2025. The Resonance Room is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
