Crickets on my Back -2004
Sound Installation for Benetton/Fabrica
'Crickets on my Back' was a musically notable sound installation, realised together with Fabrica/Benetton for the opening of the new Tadao Ando building in Treviso (Italy). The installation took place inside two interconnected buildings noted for their architecturally remarkable rooms. For the first room we created a mystical and enchanting soundscape which appeared to resonate from the environment without actually imposing itself. The task for the second room was the involvement of poetic interplay of music and architecture. Eight speakers fastened to movable stands played back a gently woven sonic texture.
'...the building's masonry was singing its innate elegy...' (Giornale Venezia)
