A multichannel Sound Installation in a Mall
In close vicinity to Zurich’s main station, the new neighbourhood of Europaallee has emerged accommodating, alongside the Pädagogische Hochschule and numerous residential and office buildings, a new shopping mall as well. Here arose a surface area of more than 1500 square meter, consisting of various projection surfaces, a LED ceiling as well as a 24-channel sound installation.
Content derives from five different areas of nature - the desert, the Alps, the ocean, the rain forest and the meadow – and can be utilised seasonally. The multi-channel soundscapes have the visitor to become immersed in a natural atmosphere, thereby setting a counterpoint to the customary muzak.
