Claude Lanzmann. The Recordings

The exhibition is dedicated to the sound archive of filmmaker Claude Lanzmann. At its core are conversations that bear witness to remembrance, speech, and silence surrounding the Shoah.

For the first time, the previously unpublished audio recordings that Lanzmann made during his research for Shoah are made accessible as an independent auditory experience. Visitors encounter the voices, pauses, and atmospheres that formed the essence of his work.

The exhibition opens a space for listening – a soundscape in which history, testimony, and cinematic research intertwine.

The sound scenography was conceived and realized by Idee und Klang Audio Design.
