Keep your fingers crossed for the next round. We're looking forward to January 2020, when the International Festival of Brand Experience will take place in Dortmund.
Klang Moor Schopfe

On Thursday Klang Moor Schopfe, the (only) sound art festival in Switzerland, will open its doors. During 11 days, more than 20 artists* from all over the world will play a total of eleven agricultural creations and the Schützenhaus in the high moor of Gais with sound installations. Our founder, Ramon De Marco, is among them (Schopf Nr. 3). His work is dedicated to three-dimensional field recordings from the raised bog, which move in their constant, musicalized transformations between macro- and micro-perspective...
International Sound Award Nominee 2019

We are nominated for the International Sound Awards 2019 in the category Soundscapes and Ambient Sound. Our work Sounds of Silence for the "Museum für Kommunikation" in Bern convinced the jury and we are in the final round. On 19 September in Hamburg we will find out whether we are going back to Basel with an award in our hands. The label "Better Sound 2019" we have for sure.
Museum of the Future 2019

We are very happy to be able to create music and sound design for the Museum of the Future at the World Government Summit in Dubai again this year. As in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, we will now be honoured with this complex audio design project again in 2019. The opening is planned for mid-February.
!Khwattu

As already announced, Idee und Klang Audio Design paid a visit to the Kalahari desert in order to make some 3D-file recordings for !Khwa ttu, an exhibition about the San. The term San denotes a number of ethnic groups in southern Africa who originally used to live as pure hunters and collectors. During our journey we recorded for example wildlife, atmospheres, stillness and cultural sounds of the San. Detailed information on this project will follow!
Giants of the Ancient Seas

The exhibition 'Giants of the Ancient Seas' at the Museum Lokschuppen in Rosenheim leads across the Mesozoic era, past fascinating exhibits and true-to-life reconstructions of marine dinausaurs. Idee und Klang Audio Design lays out the sound design for the exhibition which will open in 2019. We are also going to be involved in the follow-up exhibition 'Ice Age' in the year 2021.

!Khwattu

In a few weeks Idee und Klang Audio Design will head to the Kalahari Desert to record 3D Soundscapes for !Khwa ttu, a new Heritage Centre for the Bushmen/ San of southern Africa. It is the only one of its kind for the First People of Africa. It is located in South Africa, 70 kilometres north of Cape Town. To get more information about our work there, stay tuned!
Between heaven and earth - 1000 years of Worms Cathedral

On the occasion of the cathedral’s 1000-year consecration, both the Nibelungen Museum and the City Museum at the Andreasstift open a contemporaneous special exhibition, for which Idee und Klang Audio Design have created a purely auditory exhibition in cooperation with curator Claudia Glass. The exhibition is about the infamous Quarrel of the Queens; more here.
